Muscat Fashion Week to focus on Arab fashion

Arab fashion would be the main focus of the 2012 Muscat Fashion Week to be held from February 21 to 23, 2012.
Oman would serve as a host to fashion media and buyers from all parts of the globe at the event, which is aimed at bringing Gulf and South Asian fashion talent to international limelight, especially to provide a platform for renowned as well as emerging designers from the Middle East.
The Muscat Fashion Week would be the finale event of the 2012 Muscat Festival, and it would see several designers from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon and the UAE presenting their collections.
Fashion designers including Ayesha Depala and Kanzi from UAE, Kubra Al Qaseer from Bahrain, Hanaa Wahaibi, Dibaj and Nawal Al Hooti from Oman, Mehwish Afzal from Pakistan, Abed Mahfouz from Lebanon, Hassan Mardash from Syria, Siham Tib from Morocco and Amina Al Jassim from Saudi Arabia would participate in the event.
The clothes designed by these designers would be kept for public display and sale from February 22 to 24, 2012.
The fashion week would have a number of exclusive boutique shows and it would showcase the extraordinary talent of the Arab fashion world.
The even was held for the first time in 2011, which met with tremendous success and this year it is likely to recreate the magic of last year.
