Anand Sharma lauds NTC during Tex-Trends India

Mr Anand Sharma, Union Minister for Commerce, Industry and Textiles along with Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Ms. Kiran Dhingra and Chairman & Managing Director, National Textile Corporation (NTC), Shri K. Ramachandran Pillai visited the NTC stall after inaugurating Tex-Trends India 2012, Asia's leading textile trade fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The dignitaries were guided through the entire NTC product range on display.

Shri Anand Sharma lauded NTC's continuous efforts in setting new trends in the Indian textile industry.

He expressed his satisfaction on NTC's vision for the future showcased in its recently-launched corporate identity and logo.

Tex Trends India 2012, aims to provide the biggest platform in Asia to the exporters and the buyers, to bring together the best in Indian Garments and Accessories, Fabrics, Home Furnishings & Made-ups, Indian Handicrafts, Handlooms, Jute and Carpets – all under one roof.

The National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Textiles which was incorporated in April 1968 for managing the affairs of sick textile undertakings, in the private sector, taken over by the Government. Starting with 16 mills in 1968, this number gradually rose to 103 by 1972-73.
