Idemitsu Kosan Co has restarted a naphtha cracker which had been shutdown in the early part of the previous week.
A company official informed that the naphtha cracker located in Tokuyama which had been shutdown on Tuesday due to a technical snag, has now been restarted.
The other cracker is off-stream since November last year after it undertook maintenance and has not been restarted till date.
The Tokuyama plant has a capacity to produce 623,000 tons per annum of ethylene and operates two crackers at the site.
