The Pearl-Qatar to host maiden fashion week in Nov

The Pearl-Qatar (TPQ) in Doha, Qatar, will be hosting its first international fashion week during November 7-10, 2012.
TPQ is an artificial island spanning an area of nearly four million sq m and is the first land in Qatar to be made available for freehold ownership to foreign nationals.
The maiden fashion week will be organized by United Development Company and Doha/Amsterdam-based Zoul Projects.
The four-day fashion event will see a display of regional and international fashion trends. Many Qatar-based designers will also present their creations during the week and would seek to promote their brands in new markets.
The event is expected to establish Qatar as a new fashion capital, especially in the MENA region, as several high profile designers are scheduled to take part in it.
Some of the world's biggest names in fashion industry have opened their flagship stores in TPQ and the event would also be an opportunity to display Qatar's development and its exciting future.
United Fashion Company, one of the organizers of the show, is engaged in bringing mid to mid-upper range brands as well as world-class luxury to TPQ and the Gulf region.
Along with TPQ Fashion Week, there will also be the culmination of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Next Top Designer, which aims to find the region's freshest design talent.
