In celebration of London Fashion Week (17th-29th Feb), Luna & Curious will be hosting an exhibition of the best of London's new crop of milliners at their store in Sanderson, one of London's most fashionable hotels. Luna & Curious prides itself on discovering raw talent and are pleased to be showing the hats and headpieces from the S/S12 collections by Moody & Farrell, Aurora Ozma, Emma Yeo and Tour De Force.

All of the bespoke pieces are handmade by the designers, who are trained in the traditional processes of millinery and have used these skills to create thoroughly modern works of art. From braided patent leather to flocked, laser cut plastic these hats embody all that is great about British fashion. Designers such as these make London Fashion Week the most creative and exciting place to be and Luna & Curious along with Sanderson are thrilled to be a part of that.

Eloise Moody of Moody and Farrell studied design at Goldsmiths and trained with the legendary hatter Jane Smith. She established Moody and Farrell three years ago and since then has created their seasonal collections of bold and characterful hats. The Spring/Summer 2012collection is inspired by The Golden Age of Exploring. Adventurers would often return home with descriptions of sublime creatures that illustrators would attempt to draw with wildly inaccurate results. These mutant beasts have informed the design of this set of hats, the bastard off-spring of tall tales, improbable visions and things that go bump in the night.

Aurora Ozma is a London based avant-garde couturier, milliner and surrealist textile artist, born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Self-taught and weaving influences from 19th century Russian Art, Folkore and Mysticism into her work, this latest collection is entitled 'Astral Ascension' and looks through the glass darkly to conjure ritualistic headdresses and skull caps. A shortlist for the Liberty 'Best of British Design' 2010, Aurora's work was first stocked by Luna & Curious.

Camille Roman, designer and founder of Tour de Force has made her name adorning the likes of Paloma Faith, Kate Nash and Jessie J. Having been the first UK stockist, three years ago, Luna & Curious are thrilled to see the brand grow and grow. Tour de Force have made custom pieces especially for this exhibition.

Emma Yeo's rich and eclectic output has been showcased both in the UK and internationally. Having studied MA Design Jewellery course at Central St Martins she subsequently has received critical acclaim from numerous titles, not to mention receiving many commendations including the Ascot 'Queens Hat' prize and the coveted IT#S NNE YKK award. Her trademark feature is a sophisticated hybrid-design philosophy innovatively combining cutting-edge technology with sympathetic craftsmanship.

Established in 2006, Luna & Curious is an inspired collective who run two exquisite boutiques in Shoreditch, London and Sanderson Hotel. Offering a cornucopia of finely rendered objects and clothing. The collective comprises of jeweller Rheanna Lingham and ceramic designers Polly George and welovekaoru. Together they select and present the finest of objects. Pilgrims finding themselves within Luna & Curious will be treated to the delights of beautifully tailored one-off fashion items, printed inks, English fine bone china, hand stitched silks, beautiful taxidermy and wonderful works of art.
