Italian brands to display creations at Milan fashion week

Premium apparel brands like Armani and Prada will be among the 72 Italian and international brands that will showcase their collections at the semi-annual Milan fashion week that will go on from February 22 to 28, 2012.

The event is scheduled to begin with Gucci displaying its autumn-winter 2012 collections, followed by presentation of creations by Alberta Ferretti, known for her ultra-feminine designs and cocktail dresses.

The latest collections by Prada and Fendi are slated for day 2 of the fashion event.

Day 3 of the event will see display of new collection by Etro, Known for bold patterns and bright colours. The day will also feature showcase of new creations by Versace and Moschino.

German fashion designer Tomas Maier will be unveiling his new creations for Bottega Veneta, an Italian brand, on day 4. Latest lines from Jil Sander and Emporio Armani will also be presented the same day.

Dolce & Gabbana, Marni and Missoni will be there with their creations on day 5 of the event.

The event will culminate with presentation of newest creations by Armani, Roberto Cavalli, DSquared2 and Gianfranco Ferre on day 6.

On day 7, the final day, upcoming and new designers will get a chance to present their collections in front of international audience. The day will also see exploration of fashion creations by Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.
