Inferior textiles could hamper Uruguay-Brazil trade

Brazil has stopped import of textiles from Uruguay saying these are predominantly Chinese cloth rolls with minimum input, but bearing Made-in-Uruguay label.
Uruguay's Minister of Industry and Energy, Roberto Kreimerman validated this fact, as he visited Brazil to discuss several trade issues.
He admitted that blankets and bed covers exported from Uruguay to Brazil can bear a higher percentage of Chinese components than that acceptable under the anti-dumping law implemented by President Dilma Rousseff's Government, and hence asked Uruguayan exporters to be more vigilant.
He emphasized that it is important to avoid a specific sector falling under anti-dumping laws for developing excellent trade relations between the two nations.
He informed that currently an investigation is being carried out on the matter and underscored that Brazil seeks open and transparent trade with Uruguay and wants to resolve all issues hampering the trade between the two countries.
