'Adapt to change' – Vikas advices young textile leaders

The proudest moment for Vikas was when a Jet Airways air hostess surprised him by touching his feet in an aircraft he had just boarded as a mark of respect. It turned out that the girl – a local resident of Dungarpur had studied at the school set up by the Ladia's.
SRSL regularly hosts and supports eye and medical camps in association with Rotary and Lions Club. Recently, 600 patients were treated for eye related illness and more than 200 were given free spectacles by the company. SRSL has helped the local hospital to expand by building extra rooms and providing cottage wards and other medical equipment.
His mantra for success – “Don't shy away from taking decisions. Do not defer a decision, whether right or wrong. The consequences of delaying a decision are much more than taking a wrong decision. I have always believed and practiced it”.
His advice to other young second or third generation textile leaders – “What has happened in India in the last five years did not happen in the last fifty years and what will happen in the next five years, may not happen in the next fifty years. India is going to graduate in to a very big economic powerhouse. So be open to adapt to changes. Secondly and also most important, learn the complete manufacturing process before you start handling a responsible position”.
