HMC Polymers based in Thailand operates three lines for producing polypropylene (PP) and will be shutting down one of its lines for a maintenance turnaround.
According to a company official who spoke to fibre2fashion, the company has already undertaken maintenance of two PP lines and the third would go off-stream from March 1, 2012.
This line would stay shut for a period of seven days, he added.
According to the official, they have started the maintenance of all the lines since January as they were facing feedstock shortage.
The three PP lines have a combined capacity of 750,000 tons per annum.
