Mr.Dinakaran has stated that TANGEDCO has failed to consider the genuine and repeated representations made by the Association requesting to permit the HT consumers to purchase and use private power during power holidays and load shedding period and also to use the wind power during peak hours and thus making the industries to seek legal remedy.

Mr Dinakaran has criticised the approach of TANGEDCO which often makes the industrial consumers to get various genuine services only through legal remedy. He has stated this approach will totally spoil the image of the State and any investor would avoid making investment in the State. He has pointed out that the services of TANGEDCO started deteriorating from 2009 onwards and today it has made all the industrial consumers totally get frustrated.

Mr Dinakaran has wondered why the TNEB which has been giving excellent services till 2007 should all of a sudden become a dictator and losing the confidence of all the industrial units and public. He has pointed out the number of legal cases pending before TNERC, APTEL, Madras High Court, etc., are the indications for the urgent need of the Hon'ble Chief Minister to immediately step in, take corrective measures, rebuild the image of TANGEDCO and give confidence to the new investors as well as the existing industrialists to sustain the livelihood of several millions of workers in the State.

SIMA Chief has stated that TANGEDCO should immediately permit the industrial units to purchase private power, give relief to the grid and thereby reduce the load shedding and ensure adequate power supply for the domestic sector to help the students to prepare for their final examinations.
