In the first two months of 2012, China's total textile and apparel exports completed $31.23 billion, down 2.59 percent year on year.

China's domestic market too was not optimistic. February retail sales of 50 key large retailers fell 2.78 percent year on year, of which sales of clothing products fell 5.53 percent.

The decline in both exports and domestic demand has cast a shadow over the market. Future consumption situation of textiles and apparel remains confused.
