LA Textile Show to start on March 26

An expanded presence of manufacturing and sourcing companies will also have a spotlight at this edition of the show. Featured in the Design & Services area of the Penthouse show floor, new resources include Japanese company GPI, Fessler USA, and Andari, as well as the aforementioned Vestex, among others.

LA TEXTILE will also continue its partnership with Lenzing and feature the Lenzing Innovation Pavilion in showrooms located in the A-wing of the Penthouse. Highlighting a network of Lenzing affiliated companies & products offering superior fiber innovations, the impressive exhibitor list includes American Fabrics Intl, Asher Fabric Concepts, Britannia Mills Ltd., Buhler Quality Yarns, Design Knit, Inc., Ecotex, Enviro Fabrics, Epic Textiles, Fessler, Impex Textiles, Laguna Fabrics, Lenzing Fibers, Inc., Miroglio Textile, Pacific Coast Knitting, Inc., Sextet Fabrics, Inc., Shara-Tex, Inc., Texollini, Inc., Unitex Intl, Zentex, and more.

Another special focus area of the show is the Korean Pavilion, showcased in the Fashion Theater of the CMC's Main Lobby. Presented by the Korean Textile Trade Association (KTTA), the Pavilion highlights some of Korea's best textile mills, manufacturing and sourcing companies.

Rounding out the show experience is LA TEXTILE's popular seminar program, hosted in the show's Seminar & Event space, Suite 19, in the Penthouse, from Monday-Wednesday, March 26-28. This season's Spring/Summer 13 trend seminars will feature top forecasting agencies WGSN, Mudpie, Stylesight, Fashion Snoops, Cotton Inc, and Design Options.

Additionally, designers and manufacturers will gain invaluable business and marketing insights from topics that range from "Building a Brand, Market Niche & Brand Protection Issues Including Sales from Ground Zero" to "What a Buyer Wants from a Young Designer". Featured business, marketing and hot-topic speakers include NY-based Mercedes Gonzales of Global Purchasing Companies, Fashion Business Inc (FBI), California Fashion Association (CFA), online designer resource website Afingo.com, Staci Riordan of fashion-focused law office Fox Rothschild, LLP, and Lenzing, among others.

Attendees and exhibitors are also invited to network and enjoy an Opening Night Reception on Monday, March 26, 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Co-sponsored by Lenzing and hosted in the show's Seminar & Event space, Suite 19, in the Penthouse, the reception will feature a live DJ, complimentary hors d'oeuvres by local downtown restaurant Artisan House, and cocktails courtesy of Dama Tequila, IZZE, Lite Pom, and Dry Soda.

Additionally, LA TEXTILE continues its partnership with global trend forecasting agency WGSN to co-curate and produce an interactive fabric and trim display for attendees in the center of the CMC's Main Lobby. The display will highlight the season's most compelling materials and design elements, in accordance with the Spring/Summer 2013 macro-trends identified by WGSN:The Story of Now, Idiomatic, and Wonderlab.

The Spring/Summer 2013 edition of the LA TEXTILE Show will take place Monday-Wednesday, March 26-28, 2012 at the California Market Center. Show hours are 10:00am-6:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 10:00am-5:00pm on Wednesday.
