The restart of a naphtha cracker operated by Japan-based Tosoh Corporation has been delayed by seven days.

The naphtha cracker which had been off-stream since March 11 for a scheduled maintenance was originally planned to go on-stream from April 14.

The delay according to a spokesperson of Tosoh, is to remove oil from a steam pipe in the cracker.
