90 labels guaranteeing new fashion discoveries in Vienna

Between May 4 and May 6, 2012 the MAK Vienna will host the 10th edition of the MODEPALAST – brand new expo. With a sales exhibition and a diverse supporting programme, the MODEPALAST -not for nothing called the city's largest temporary boutique - gives a large number of fashion fans the chance to get to know designers and their collections, including jewellery and accessories, both in person and in a concentrated manner.
90 fashion labels will present themselves on 1,500 m2 exhibition space in the MAK, the Austrian Museum for Applied Arts / Contemporary Art, and showcase the entire range, from Street Couture to Urban Wear and right up to High Fashion. The core theme MODEPALAST GREEN will showcase a powerful choice of visionary brands that are open to the future and distinguish themselves through their green approach, innovation and style.
The theme of MODEPALAST GENERATIONS will bundle a choice of fashion designs for four generations.
The Sofia fashion scene is definitely worth a second glance: The MODEPALAST will bring 20 absolutely must-see collections by Bulgarian designers to Vienna, curated by Modegalerie IVAN ASEN 22 and Petya Kazantseva.
Beside daily workshops for kids and the performance of a fashion choir on Friday, there will be a smashing birthday party featuring the Tingel-Tangel DJs in the Gartenbaukino.
