Chinese textile dyestuffs and chemical industry is doing well and several companies have resorted to technological upgradation to perform even better, experts say.

Several measures introduced by the Chinese Government to reduce social and environmental impacts have also helped the sector, according to experts.

According to them, the policies of the Chinese Government have resulted in strengthening of infrastructure and have provided exciting new opportunities for the textile dyestuffs and chemicals sector.

To get advantage from the sector which is rapidly embracing latest technology and eco-friendly products, the Singapore-based Matex launched two ranges of new dyestuffs, Megafix RE and Megafix BPSN at the China Interdye expo held last month.

Megafix dyes are reactive dyes that react chemically with cellulosic fibres, forming a covalent bond between the dye and the fibre during the dyeing process. They are of high substantivity with a high degree of exhaustion and fixation rates. They have excellent all round fastness properties.

Matex said the new Megafix BPSN and Megafix RE dyestuffs would be suitable for textile mills that want to reduce their carbon footprint and remain eco-friendly.
