Stylish Living – Beijing home décor expo from July 12

Ten years ago, most Chinese citizens' concept on home decoration was simply choosing floor tiles and wall colors. Things are different now. Home design and décor have become a way to display comfort, great taste and quality of life.

Beijing Home Fashion & Décor Exhibition (HFD 2012), with the theme of “Stylish Living”, will present the latest home products including furniture, accessories, home building materials, home textile and beddings, etc., from July 12 to 14, 2012 at New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, China. The show presents the latest trends in interior design and provides a communication platform for designers and consumers.

Design-oriented Concurrent Events
To foster the communication platform amongst industry professionals, HFD 2012 has organized a series of concurrent events including symposiums, design contests, themed interior design display zones to pilot 2012 home fashion trend.

Hong Kong Industrial Designer, Mr. Justin Cheung, a speaker at HFD 2011's Designer Dialogue Forum, will join with Ms. Vanessa E. de Groot, Business Development Manager of Dutch Design Desk and founders of Miro Designs to speak at HFD 2012's concurrent event: “Creativity Creates Value - International Design Workshop”. The workshop will share the importance and practical tips on how to make use of creativity to generate economic value.

Lined up with Binfen Space Magazine, HFD 2012 shall feature Andrew Martin Awards display zone showing winning designs and design forum with winners of the award to share 2012/2013 home fashion trend. The Andrew Martin Awards has been referred to by Time Magazine as the Oscars Awards of design industry.

HFD 2012, together with Home Decoration Magazine has invited famous designers to speak at the “Home Accessories - Trend & Purchasing Conference” and will share with the audience the trend in accessorizing homes. Also, it will be the launch of the “Top Ten Northern China Home Decorator” competition which will open for applications in August 2012.

“China. The New Life Style”
Every country has her unique design style based on her history, culture and natural resources. Chinese design has carried its thousands of years of history and with recent years of western influence, Chinese design has evolved to a style of practical elegance. HFD 2012 has organized a series of activities and display zones under the theme “China. The New Life Style”.

Famous China designers, Wang Tao and Liu Feng shall demonstrate the perfect blend of Chinese traditions and modern lifestyle through tea & floral arrangements and decoration of teahouse & temple. Also coinciding with the theme of“From Chinese Language to Design”, Hong Kong New Design Force Exhibition will display Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design students' excellent works of furniture inspired by Chinese characters.

The exhibition will also feature Mr Liu LiNian's “Original Design Gallery” displaying the latest creative furniture designs. Mr Liu works to promote Chinese design and change from being labeled “Made in China” to “Created in China”.

HFD 2012 will gather elites in the design industry with its various forums, display zones and high quality products at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing on July 12-14, 2012. The exhibition is free of charge and visitors who have pre-registered online are eligible to redeem a free gift.
