China's spot market of caprolactam (CPL) in terms of RMB remained flat on May 15.
Cargo holders made sporadic offers in the range of 20,300-20,400 Yuan/ton, while downstream manufacturers made bids for 20,100 Yuan/ton, and actually negotiated price was in the range of 20,100-20,200 Yuan/ton. Overall, trading atmosphere looked deserted in the market, and actual turnover was rare.
The CPL imports spot market in China turned soft on May 15. Rare offers from cargo holders were around US$ 2,550/ton (CFR China main port, L/C 90 days), bids from downstream manufacturers were around US$ 2,500/ton, and actually negotiated price was in the range of US$ 2,520-2,530/ton. There was scarce negotiation and trading atmosphere remained light in the market.
