Nova Knits Inc decided to pay more than $500,000 as compensation to its employees, announced Chinese Progressive Association, which supported the workers discharged temporarily.
About 100 garment workers who alleged they were dismissed without any intimation or severance pay have reached an agreement with their former employer.
Employees, mostly comprised Chinese middle-aged women, marched through downtown San Francisco last year to protest against garment job losses.
They also complained that their jobs were outsourced to China.
