Vietnamese mills demand duty-free comber noil imports

A Vietnamese cotton and yarn spinner's body has demanded that the government should permit duty-free imports of comber noil.
Comber noils are short-fibre cotton discarded while processing cotton in to yarn. Currently the government levies 10 percent duty on such imports.
The Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA) has also urged the government to permit them to import noils without licenses.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Industry & Trade has urged the Finance Ministry to permit 11 spinning mills to import comber noils duty-free.
