BVCPS Wenzhou footwear laboratory gets CNAS certificate

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS) is pleased to announce that its laboratory in Wenzhou, China received a new accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) for footwear product testing.
The accreditation demonstrates that Bureau Veritas has the capability to provide footwear testing and compliance services which are aligned to internationally and nationally recognised standards.
As the first international third-party footwear testing laboratory set up in Wenzhou, the Wenzhou laboratory aims to provide a full range of footwear product testing services in accordance to China, US and European standards, as well as consultation and training to the footwear vendors in Wenzhou city and nearby areas in Zhejiang Province, China.
The new accreditation enables Bureau Veritas to provide quality testing and advisory services locally, resulting in reduced turnaround time, minimized testing costs and better product quality for the clients.
Ms. Catherine Chen, the Vice President of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, North China, said, ''Wenzhou is one of the major footwear export centres in China with a base of thousands of export companies. Therefore, Wenzhou city plays a key role in the export development of Zhejiang Province.
“We are pleased that our laboratory in Wenzhou is now capable to provide faster footwear testing services locally with reduced costs for the clients, helping promote export trade with high quality products in Wenzhou that will benefit the overall economy of Wenzhou and Zhejiang in the long run."
