China's cotton market in a downturn

Due to the influence and recent inflow of low priced foreign cotton, Chinese domestic cotton market is in a downturn.
Spinners show little interest in purchasing domestic cotton, so, spot cotton prices have declined significantly, leading to even prices of cotton yarn dipping.
Since the recent release of cotton imports quotas, imported cotton has started arriving at Chinese ports, which in turn, is pushing back demand for domestic cotton.
