Strong synergy brings more prospects at F&A Show/HOMTEX

It turned out to be one of the best editions of the Show in terms of business. This was the near unanimous reaction from all exhibitors at the 9h Fabrics & Accessories Trade Show.

With 103 exhibitors from across the country, a special China Pavilion, and 3,271 verified quality trade visitors, the ninth edition of the F&A Trade Show 2012 along with the inaugural edition of HOMTEX 2012, (India International Home Textiles Exhibition), can be said to be one of the best ever in recent times. 

The inaugural edition of HOMTEX 2012 was a great success,” said Mr P Krishnamurthy, CEO & Executive Director, S S Textile Media Pvt. Ltd., organizers of the show. “The synergies between these two shows being held concurrently were able to deliver even more opportunities for suppliers and buyers.”

India’s fast-growing economy has created a rich business environment for domestic suppliers of home textile products and to meet the growing demand the new show offered domestic suppliers and buyers a professional platform to do business.

The visitors comprised decision makers from India as well as overseas representing international buying houses, single store retailers, retail chains, manufacturers, exporters, designers and wholesalers. The exhibition also provided a wide spectrum of buyers a glimpse into the new product lines and also an opportunity to interact with some of the country’s top home textile brands and suppliers.

A major highlight of the show was the Business Networking Forum which saw a full house on the evening of the first day. The topic of discussion “How can the Indian Textile and Apparel Industry Remain Competitive”, saw a lively interaction amongst audience and the panelists who comprised of Mr Ashish Kumar, CEO, Arvind Shirting and Denims, Mr Ram M. Director - Marketing, Paramount Textiles Mills Pvt Ltd., Mr Vasanth Kumar, Executive Director, Max Retail, Landmark Group, Mr Viswanath, Director, Levis India, Mr Charath Narasimhan, CEO, Indian Terrain Fashions, Mr Ganesh Subramanian, Chief Merchandizing Officer, Myntra Online.  The Moderator of this discussion was Mr. Krishna Kumar - Founder & CEO of M/s. Simbus Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Ex-President Integra Apparel)

Smt Panabaaka Lakshmi, Honorable Union Minister of State for Textiles, Government of India, was one of the distinguished guest at the show. The Minister visited several stalls and got a first-hand preview of the product lines on display.

Traffic on the show floor was a steady flow on all the three days as exhibitors and visitors interacted with each other, exchanged information, checked out samples, and even placed orders on the spot.
