Chinese island filament market remains stable

Island filament market remained stable during previous week (June 11 to 17) in China’s Shengze market, but there was a slight decline in price trend.
Island filament 105D was traded at 19,200 Yuan/ton, while island filament DTY 225D was traded in the range of 17,000-17,200 Yuan/ton, slightly lower compared to the earlier week.
Island filament 225D, which is mainly used in manufacturing of weft suede fabric, saw an increase in sales.
DTY filament 160D and island filament 180D, which are mainly used in production of double weft suede fabrics, also witnessed good demand.
FDY island filament 50D, 75D were traded in the range of 17,000 Yuan/ton and 15,000 Yuan/ton, respectively.
At present, there is a slight increase in demand for FDY warp island filament 75D.
During the current week, island filament market in China is likely to remain stable.
