Chinese polyester cationic filament market stabilizes

19
Jun '12
Polyester cationic filament market stabilized after earlier decline in China’s Shengze market in the just concluded week (June 11-17), due to significant increase in trading volume.

The prices of FDY filaments 63D and 50D hovered around 12,200 Yuan/ton and 12,800 Yuan/ton, respectively, slightly lower compared to prices recorded a week earlier.

At present, prices of FDY 75D, 100D, 150D, 200D and 300D are being quoted at around 12,200 Yuan/ton, 11,800 Yuan/ton, 11,300 Yuan/ton, 11,300 Yuan/ton and 11,200 Yuan/ton, respectively.

During previous week, prices of some POY and DTY products dipped by 200-300 Yuan/ton compared to a week earlier.

FDY 30D, 50D and 63D, which are commonly used in manufacturing of imitated silk fabrics, witnessed a rise in demand.

In the short term, Chinese cationic filament market is likely to be in adjustment mode.
