Shearing is a tremendous skill for any young person to learn and is one they can use anywhere in the world, comments Mr MacGregor. "We are very keen to be working with the YFC, promoting shearing and reviving competition in the North of England. By competing young shearers gain valuable experience and the competitive spirit helps drive them to improve their technique."
