Spot cotton prices up Rs25 per bale

With an increase of Rs25, cotton price at Karachi Cotton Association stood at Rs2400 per maund, today.
Trading activity increased to some extent, as ginners wanted to offload their stocks, said dealers.
Some major players expect a rise in the trade transactions and price of cotton during this week.
Increased use of lint by spinners would accelerate further buying in next few days, trader sources revealed.
Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) recently requested the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to provide policy cover for ginning factories and related businesses by instructing insurance companies, it was reliably learnt.
