Chinese island composite filament market light

The island composite filament market appeared light in China with no visible increase in product sales, during the week ending June 24, 2012.
In Shengze market, price of island composite filament remained stable, with weak sales of island FDY filament.
Island composite DTY filament 225D (excellent) was traded in the range of 18300-18500 Yuan/ton, with the lower end touching 18,200 Yuan/ton during the week.
DTY 105D island composite filament was quoted at about 18,800 Yuan/ton, while demand for warp filament was light and it was offered at about 15,000 Yuan/ton.
There was moderate demand for DTY 160D island filament. 225D island filament had less demand as the weaving sector was cautious in procuring the same.
In short-term, the island filament market is likely to remain in weak adjustment phase.
