CMC-GHTA-ART to support the home furnishings industry

The California Market Center (CMC) is excited to announce its partnerships with prominent industry organizations Gift & Home Trade Association (GHTA) and Accessories Resource Team (ART). The GHTA’s mission is to support, lead, and unify the gift and home industry, focusing on its long-term success.

ART is a community of creative companies and individuals working together to excite and motivate consumers to accessorize their homes, and is the only trade group in the home furnishings industry dedicated to promoting the home accents and accent furniture segments.  Partnering with these organizations is part of the CMC’s aggressive mission to further expand the Gift & Home showcase, cementing the CMC’s position as the premier destination for fashion & lifestyle design industries on the West Coast.

“The GHTA is thrilled to have the CMC as its partner” says Julie Dix, President of GHTA. “The GHTA’s commitment to, and work within, the gift and home industry is only magnified by the CMC’s contributions. We are grateful for their support.”

The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) was formed in 2000, as the gift and home industry’s non-profit professional trade association. GHTA is designed to help and encourage vendors, sales agencies, industry affiliates and retailers to work together, improving relationships and making business better by providing members with the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with industry leaders. Essentially GHTA is a place for members to connect, to contribute, and to learn.

“It is a privilege to welcome the California Market Center as a member of ART,” says Sharon Davis, Executive Director of ART. “We are looking forward to this partnership and to expanding ART member programs into California. The role of trade show producers in the organization is vital for continued growth and we are excited for the opportunity to work with the CMC.”

ART was established in 1988, and accepts manufacturers/importers, retailers, sales representatives and other industry professionals and sources as members. Supporting and building the home accents business is their prime objective. Just a few of the benefits of being a member include networking events, conferences, seminars, workshops and roundtables. Members benefit from shared business experience. By brainstorming creative ideas, forming alliances and creating partnerships within this organization, the goal is to elevate the quality and functioning of business to unseen levels.

Gerry Seibel, Vice President of New Business Development for Gift and Home shared in Julie and Sharon’s excitement, saying: “We are honored to be a part of GHTA and ART. This relationship will reinforce our efforts to establish the CMC as a one-stop destination for gift, home décor and interior design.”
