As a result, the professional visitor cannot manage Berlin in the course of three days anymore. "As the international leading tradeshow, we have a responsibility towards the industry and towards Berlin", says president Karl-Heinz Müller. "Therefore, it is our duty to counteract this situation by offering a solution."
BREAD & BUTTER takes the current development into account and antedates the "tradeshow for selected brands" one day, starting January 2013. In the future, the event will therefore take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; the Fashion Week Berlin will thus take place one day longer.
This measure comes with numerous advantages: the rectification of the event calendar results in more time for the professional visitors, so that they can visit all relevant events. The inclusion of Berlin between the dates of Florence/Milan and Paris is optimized, and the international visitors can better follow the tradeshow/show-circus. Due to this measure Berlin gains even stronger relevance, since Berlin remains the kick-off date.
With the antedating of the BREAD & BUTTER, there are thus four instead of three days available starting January 2013. Through this, brands and designers also have more space for their shows and evening events.
Karl-Heinz Müller: "I feel very comfortable with this decision, since in the last seasons one could observe the visitors increasingly becoming 'haunted men'. I am looking forward to a strong tradeshow from Tuesday, 15th January to Thursday, 17th January 2013."
