Chinese ACN market in consolidation phase

Acrylonitrile (ACN) market in China is currently in consolidation phase. Although manufacturers are making offers at high level, spot market is flat due to weak demand.
At ports in East China, market offers for ACN are currently prevailing in the range of 14,500-14,700 Yuan/ton in terms of shipment made by buyers. Negotiations are moderate.
In North China, ACN manufacturers quoted price in the range of 13,200-13,900 Yuan/ton. Some companies are expected to increase their price further, but it would have limited impact on spot market.
In Shandong market, traders quoted ACN spot offer price in the range of 14,300-14,500 Yuan/ton, in terms of delivery at buyer’s destination. The pace of shipments is steady.
