The winner receives an envelope with 5,000 Euros from Messe Frankfurt France and a space to present their collection at Texworld during the September show.
This year the jury singled out Romain Urnel, a young and very gifted French designer aged 26. He showed a clear-cut collection, very wearable and marketable just as it is: relaxed looks, where volume with pleated effects and black predominated.
To celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, Texworld, which will take place 17 to 20 September 2012 in Paris La Bourget, also wants to recognise two#
Tall, slim with an individual look: high boots paired with drop crotch trousers, a loose-fitting T-shirt under a large woollen pullover: Romain Urnel, 26 is the image of his designs, sophisticated but devoid of any affectation.
He was born in Nice and grew up there. He first wanted to become a professional cyclist as he loves the sport for its rigour. He did in fact make it to the elite level but 17-20 gave it up as he was attracted to fashion and design.
He took time to decide how to see this project through to the end and worked to save money to pay for his education. At the age of 21, he decided to come to Paris to study fashion at Esmod.
