Chinese PTA spot import market trends on Sept 6

Spot import market of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in China appeared light on September 6.
For Taiwan cargo, market offers were in the range of US$ 1,060-1,065/ton, whereas downstream buyers bid for price in the range of US$ 1,050-1,055/ton, and actual negotiations took place around price of US$ 1,055/ton.
For PTA imported from Korea, market prices were quoted around US$ 1,055/ton, while downstream manufacturers bid for price of US$ 1,040/ton, and final negotiations occurred in the price range of US$ 1,040-1,045/ton.
In China’s domestic PTA market, market offers were in the range of 8,200-8,250 Yuan/ton in North China on September 6. While buyers made bids for price of around 8,150 Yuan/ton, finally negotiated prices were in the range of 8,150-8,200 Yuan/ton.
In East China, PTA prices were quoted around 8,200 Yuan/ton in domestic market. Buyers bid for prices of around 8,100 Yuan/ton, and finally settled prices were around 8,150 Yuan/ton.
