Gohar Ejaz Group wins APTMA elections

Gohar Ejaz Group has won All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) elections unopposed for yet another year in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkha zones. It is consecutive third year that the Gohar Ejaz Group has secured the confidence of the textile industry in a tremendous way that no one from the opponents has dared to stand for long. Eventually, the Gohar Ejaz Group has got elected all its candidates both at zonal and central levels. 

Those elected from Sindh-Balochistan for APTMA Central Managing Committee included Yasin Siddique, Junaid Haji Latif, Asif Inam, Naveed Ahmed and Nadeem Maqbool. 
 
Meanwhile, Yasin Siddique, Asif Inam and Imran Maqbool have also been elected for the offices of Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman APTMA Sindh respectively. 
 
 Earlier, the Gohar Ejaz Group had bagged all seats in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkha zones both for zonal and central managing committees. 
 
In this way, the Gohar Ejaz Group has washed away the remnants of former groups at APTMA for their failed and myopic approach while sitting on important offices on behalf of the industry. The Gohar Ejaz Group, on the other hand, has been active on all fronts relevant to the textile industry, winning caps one after another right from Free Market Mechanism two years back to present reduction in bank mark up. 
 
The group head Gohar Ejaz said the success exhibits the confidence of the industry on the present leadership. He further expressed the hope that the newly-elected leadership of APTMA would carry with previous spirit of resolving textile industry issues on war-footing basis to bring ease and comfort to the industry by and large. 
 
He has congratulated the APTMA leadership Seth Akbar, S M Tanveer, Ahsan Bashir, Shahzad Ali Khan and Naveed Gulzar in Punjab and Yasin Siddique, Asif Inam, Imran Maqbool and Tariq Saud in Sindh on historic win.
 
He has also appreciated the outgoing Chairman Mohsin Aziz for completing his tenure successfully.
 
Gohar further said that the APTMA leadership should stay alive to the day to day emerging issues confronting textile industry and also prepare the industry for fresh challenges with fast changing business environment both within and outside Pakistan. 
 
He has also assured the industry that the new leadership would take up issues with the government functionaries without any delay. Particularly, he said the new leadership would try its level best to deal with energy issue on priority.
 
Meanwhile, the group has nominated Ahsan Bashir for the office of Central Chairman APTMA for the year 2012-13.
