The fourth successful show of Yarnex - the India International Yarn Exhibition 2012 concluded successfully with around 4,801 visitors including buyers from countries like China, Spain, Sri Lanka, Italy, Poland, the Middle East, the African and even the South American Continent. The show featured around 50 exhibitors from the yarn and fiber sector, and included a sizeable number of new entries demonstrating the importance of the trade platform within the upstream yarn and fiber industry.

Another major highlight of the show was the debut of TexIndia - Apparel Fabrics and Accessories Fair for the very first time. “The inclusion has been considered following increasing demand from trade visitors who said they would also like to source ready fabrics & accessories at a show of this stature. “We located the TexIndia show on the spacious first floor section of the India Knit Fair Complex so that buyers and exhibitors could interact and conduct their business in a very comfortable manner.”

Both the events together proved to be an ideal platform for manufacturers and suppliers worldwide to reach buyers and sellers not only from Tirupur and the surrounding areas like Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Karur, Kozhikode, Kannur, etc., but also from major metropolises like Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata. The products on display included the latest in grey, dyed, fancy, synthetic, blended, melange, metallic, jari covered yarn, recycled polyester and recycled cotton fiber yarns and fabrics, besides lacquer coated films for sequins and embroidery, glitter powder, etc. The TexIndia section had products like ultrafine fabrics, single jersey and interlock fabrics, grey fabrics, organic cotton fabrics, cotton lycra blends, grey fabrics, knitted fabrics, dyed and processed fabrics, besides interlinings, embroidery threads and backing, buttons, laces, zippers, eyelets and allover embroidered fabrics, clothing accessories for innerwear and outerwear, etc.

Mr M. L. Jhunjhunwala, President (Marketing), RSWM Ltd, who had come from Mumbai with a large contingent said: “The visitor flow was very steady and all of us were very busy. Our participation has been quite successful. With improved sentiments in the market, we have had a positive impact at this show. We have now specially appointed a person to service this area. We had overseas visitors as well as from even north and east India.” The company had displayed a wide range of new products like bamboo yarn, carpet yarns, PC yarns, modal cotton blends and Liocel based yarns.
