CPL prices increase in China's spot import market

The prices of caprolactam (CPL) in China’s spot import market rose after the end of the eight-day holiday period.
On October 9, CPL offers in spot import market were in the range of US$ 2,480-2,500/ton, while downstream buyers bid in the range of US$ 2,420-2,430/ton. Very rare actual negotiations took place in the price range of US$ 2,430-2,450/ton.
In the domestic East China market, however, CPL prices remained flat and cargo holders quoted price in the range of 19,200-19,300 yuan/ton. Downstream manufacturers bid for price of around 19,000 yuan/ton and actual negotiations were limited to the price range of 19,100-19,200 yuan/ton. Trading atmosphere remained dull.
