The second season of India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW), the glamorous style showcase forecasting year-round beach and resort fashion trends, is going to take place in the beautiful western Indian state of Goa from November 28, 2012.

The four-day-long event will be divided into three areas – The Fashion Village, The Music Festival and The Fashion Show.

The Fashion Village will have retail spaces for established and upcoming brands to exhibit and sell their resort fashion apparels and life style accessories, while The Music Festival will offer a range of heavy-duty performances by international DJs and musicians.

The Fashion Show would feature 28 catwalk presentations throughout the event, and will include a special single runway slot for international designers to highlight their upscale resort wear creations every day.

A team of nearly thirty emerging and seasoned Indian designers, including Falguni and Shane Peacock and Narendra Kumar Ahmed, will present their myriad collections at the fashion event.

However, the prominent Goa-based fashion designer and social activist Wendell Rodricks will give the event a miss because of his displeasure against the use of beaches as the venue of IRFW. Rodricks, who also is an environmentalist, has voiced his concern over the killing of turtle eggs by the organisers of the first edition of IRFW last year.
