TÜV SÜD South Asia partners with Asia Pacific Conference

The three day conference will focus on partnership in innovation and sustainability of businesses across the region. Dr. Axel Stepken, Chairman of the Board of Management, TÜV SÜD AG, will be addressing the conference as a member of the panel discussion on quality management and supply chain security.

He will be speaking alongside N.R. Narayana Murthy, Founder Chairman, Infosys Limited; Adi Godrej, President, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Chairman, Godrej Group; Kamal Nath, Minister for Urban Development, Government of India; and Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri, Director General, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), India.

The conference was first started in 1986 as an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economics in Germany with an aim to bring together the leadership of all German businesses in Asia to debate and discuss the business environment in the region and collectively align their growth plans.

Through the years, the conference has constantly focused on promoting greater cooperation between Germany and its Asia-Pacific partners - of what? t effectivehost a conference of this nature 16 years, has partnered with APK as the diamond sponsor and . This year the conference is being organized by Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) and German Chambers of Commerce Abroad in cooperation with the Asia Pacific Committee of German Business.

Although, the conference has been in existence for about three decades now, this is the second time it is being hosted in India; its 6th edition was held in Delhi in 1996.

Ahead of the conference, Dr Stepken said, “The Asia Pacific Conference of German Business is the most prestigious symposium for German business leaders in the region and is an important platform to strengthen Indo-German trade relations. With the Indian business landscape presenting immense opportunities for companies to grow exponentially, we think this is an ideal time for India to host an event of this stature.”

TÜV SÜD South Asia recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art Consumer Product Testing laboratory at Gurgaon, its 11th laboratory in the country.
