Ethylene prices move up in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1630/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1605/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1650/ton to US$ 1655/ton.

PTA prices stayed stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1155/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1155/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged in the range of RMB 8375/ton to RMB 8425/ton.

Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 1170/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices continued to be stable in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in European international and domestic markets at US$ 1190/ton and € 1060/ton, respectively.

MEG prices reflected a mixed trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, MEG prices continued to be stable and were assessed at US$ 1105/ton. In China market, MEG prices surged in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were assessed in the range US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable at RMB 10500/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10325/ton.

PSF prices continued to be steady in the Asian region. In F E Asian region, PSF prices were assessed at 1570/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 10825/ton to RMB 10875/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY stayed steady and were offered at RMB 11100/ton, RMB 12450/ton and RMB 11500/ton, respectively. In export market, prices for POY, DTY and FDY went down and were assessed at US$ 1520/ton, US$ 1700/ton and US$ 1565/ton, respectively.
