Polyester yarn prices surge in Chinese markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1725/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1700/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1715/ton to US$ 1720/ton.

PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1195/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1205/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in the Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were steady at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of 62.00 cents/pound to 62.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international and domestic markets, and were assessed at US$ 1510/ton and € 1150/ton, respectively.

MEG prices followed a stable trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1185/ton. In China market, MEG prices were unchanged in the range of US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were offered in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8840/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1600/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were in the range of US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were stable at RMB 11500/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 10900/ton to RMB 10950/ton.

PSF prices stayed steady in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1685/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1585/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 11575/ton to RMB 11625/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices increased and were offered at RMB 11650/ton, RMB 13000/ton, and RMB 12075/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY surged and were quoted at US$ 1605/ton, US$ 1785/ton, and US$ 1655/ton, respectively.
