'History of Colors in Textiles' at AATCC Spring Meetings

American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) informs that more than 60 AATCC research and administrative committees (including subcommittees) will arrange their regular spring meetings May 2-4 at the Radisson Hotel in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Guest Speakers/Special Sessions
The following committees will feature guest speakers or special events during their meetings:
- RA80, Printing Technology; Wednesday, May 3, 10:15 am; Representative from TC2; “Update on current trends in digital printing.”
- RA106, UV Protective Textiles; Thursday, May 4, 8:45 am; Kathryn Hatch, University of Arizona; A discussion on “Characterization of Fabric Properties for UV Testing.”
- Other committees have indicated they may have speakers but names and topics were not known at press time. They are RA75, Correlation of Laboratory Tests with End Use Performance; RA88, Home Laundering Technology; RA89, Hand Evaluation; RA103, Spectroscopic Technologies; and the joint meeting of RA109, Flammability and RA79, Coated, Bonded and Laminated Fabrics.
Final judging for the 2006 AATCC Student Design Competitions, the C2C®/CITDA Design Competition and the Materials Interest Group Engineering Design Competition, will take place one day prior to the Spring Research Committee meetings on May 1, 2006, at the AATCC Technical Center, Research Triangle Park, NC. Winners will be announced at the corresponding Interest Group meetings on Wednesday, May 3, at the Radisson Hotel.
