RIL reduces polymer products' prices

Reliance Industries take up cut-price policy and has reduced prices of polymer products, according to industry sources.

Prices of Polyster Staple Fibre (PSF) have been dropped by Rs0.30 per kg from Rs66.30 to Rs66 per kg.

Price of fibre intermediate Purified Terephthalic acid (PTA) and Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) have been reduced by Re 1.00 each to Rs44.10 and Rs44.90 respectively, sources added.

Prices of polymers have been reduced with price of Polyethylene (PE) being cut down by Rs48 to Rs58.10 per kg.

The price of Polypropylene (PP) has been cut down by Rs1.50 per kg to Rs57.50 per kg.

Price of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is reduced by Rs0.50 per kg to Rs39.50 per kg.

However, the price of chemical Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) is unchanged at two month old price of Rs69.30 per kg, sources revealed.

The company also revised prices of Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) with an increase of 1.4 percent.

The price of POY is raised by Rs0.96 per kg from Rs66.54 a month ago to Rs67.50 per kg.
