Luxury Bamboo Bedding announced the introduction of two outstanding duvets to complement the company’s well established bamboo sheet and bamboo duvet cover collection.

Luxury Bamboo Bedding’s rapidly expanding customer base has come to value the high quality and extra-ordinary comfort of luxurious bamboo sheets. The question arose as to what insulating layer would best complement the wonderful properties of bamboo sheets, including breathability, hypo-allergenicity and unrivaled comfort.

Mulberry Silk Duvets:

Van Shron, the president of Luxury Bamboo Bedding, commented that "Corporate passion is paramount to consistently address the high expectations of valued customers." He went on to say, "Luxury duvets are all about lightness, breathability and insulation for maximum personal comfort. In all four seasons, there is nothing comparable to a high quality, "airy light" Mulberry silk duvet. Luxury Bamboo Bedding uses only the finest grade, long Mulberry silk strands (called floss) and a hand laid grid pattern to ensure optimum insulation and breathability.”

A silk duvet is considered one of the few truly effective insulating layers suitable for “four season” use. Luxury Bamboo Bedding’s modal shell fabric (made from the cellulose of beech trees) complements the natural breathability of the silk fill.

The modal is remarkably fine and soft and has excellent wicking comparable to bamboo fabric. The combination of a light modal shell and light silk fill ensure excellent drape and virtually weightless comfort. An embroidered butterfly pattern on the duvet stabilizes the silk fill and prevents movement within the duvet.

Mr. Shron commented “For summer or winter use, our silk duvets are our customers’ favorite, and we often hear appreciative comments about how amazingly comfortable they are.”

Silk has interesting natural properties that are at the root of the “wellness buzz” associated with silk fabric. Silk has a natural protein – sericin - which makes up 20 to 30 percent of silk fiber and forms its outer shell. Sericin is a very bio-friendly protein.

It is anti-microbial and an excellent moisturizer, and is used in surgical bandages to promote healing and in cosmetics for skin care. For allergy sufferers, natural silk resists mold and dust mites which have been implicated in human allergy. Both the silk fill and modal shell are hypo-allergenic.

Canadian-Made Hutterite White Goose Down Duvets:

Canadian-made Hutterite White Goose Down Duvets have an outstanding reputation for purity and weightless comfort. They are breathable and hypoallergenic. Hutterite white goose down comes from mature geese and is known for its large cluster size (high loft). The high loft is responsible for the duvet’s fullness, extraordinary light weight and outstanding ability to insulate. The shell fabric of Luxury Bamboo Bedding’s Hutterite Down Duvets is 700 thread count cotton, and the duvet is finely tailored with a satin rope trim.
