Ethylene prices drop in European international market

Paraxylene (PX) prices stayed steady in the Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1475/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton.

PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1120/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 7725/ton to RMB 7750/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed sentiment in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1325/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 1430/ton, and were steady in the domestic market at €1085/ton.

MEG prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices dipped and were offered at US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8275/ton to RMB 8325/ton.

In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed at RMB 10200/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices rose and were in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.

PSF prices increased in Asia. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1525/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1425/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained stable at RMB 10550/ton and RMB 12150/ton, respectively, while FDY increased to RMB 10700/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY surged and were quoted at US$ 1475/ton, US$ 1695/ton, and US$ 1480/ton, respectively.
