Gail Sorronda to show SS line at MBFF Brisbane

Her Spring/Summer collection, titled Just like Honey has been created in collaboration with renowned artist Michael Zavros and fashion-goers will get first look when it debuts on the circular catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane, alongside fashion heavyweights Akira, Lee Mathews, Ginger & Smart and Easton Pearson in the 6.30pm Mercedes-Benz Group Show on Thursday, 29 August.

This is Sorronda’s first collection featuring original artwork and Zavros’ first fashion collaboration.

The dark romanticism of Gail’s design aesthetic will collide with the hyperrealism of Michael’s artistic vision in a single print that features throughout the collection, finishing with a stand-alone piece where the design has been hand-drawn on.

Just like Honey denotes a swarm of killer bees, as drawn by Zavros, and is the first collection from Sorronda that has a repetitive print weaved throughout.
