Jiangsu international textile fair to open from Sept 13

The eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu is set to host the 15th edition of the ‘Jiangsu International Fashion Festival’—a textile, apparel and fashion fair—at the Nanjing International Expo Center.

The international fashion fair is scheduled to be held from September 13 to 15, 2013, under the theme ‘brand Jiangsu, fashion Jiangsu’, and would host a series of events including the Jiangsu Creative Fashion Week, where renowned Chinese designers would showcase their collections.

The fashion festival is organized by the China Textile Industry Association, and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government with the support of the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

According to the organizing committee, this year the festival expects more than 400 exhibiting companies and 20,000 buyers from various countries to be participating at the expo.

This year’s international festival would also feature new technological products developed by Eagle Technology, including a unique set of global three-dimensional body scanner, smart dressing, fabric cutter and smart clothing hanging system, which would be showcased at the fair for visitors to experience the high-tech era of customization.

The fair intends to provide a platform for China’s textile and garment industries to establish trade communications with various international textile firms as well as promote Jiangsu’s fashion brands.
