South Africa FW shows futuristic & trans-seasonal lines

Vivid fashion proposals, ranging from futuristic to trans-seasonal, for the next Autumn/Winter season were highlighted at the just concluded South Africa Fashion Week.
 
Paledi Segapo drew inspiration from vampires for his latest Evil Is An Opinion line. Albeit revolutionary, the bold and timeless menswear pieces reflected 3D look on ultra slim-fit silhouettes.
 
Fashion label Naked Ape’s designer Shaldon Kopman featured his Ethiopia-inspired natural fabric range on the second day of the event. Replete with prints of the Ethiopian cross which is known for its different elaborate designs, the hand-knitted bamboo material made ensembles included pintuck jackets and leather trim outfits. 
 
Johannesburg-based fashion brand Rubicon, owned by self-taught designer and seamstress Hangwani Nengovhela, harked back to the comforts of ancestral stories for her latest line which featured heritage and legacy influenced several flowing A-line garments.
 
The urban ready-to-wear label Loxion Kulca featured its new unisex collection comprising of both apparels and accessories. Designed by Wandi Nzimande, the fresh affordable streetwear pieces included a variety of denim and khaki outfits.
