American Textile Company (ATC), a leading provider of innovative sleep solutions, has added two new executives to its board of directors.  The new members bring proven expertise and leadership as well as local ties to the company's Pittsburgh area headquarters.

Joining the board are John Burke, Chief Executive Officer of Armada Supply Chain Solutions, and Charles Bitzer, Chief Operations Officer at Abarta, Inc.  They join Jeff Brown, Chief Marketing Officer at Polyconcept North America, a third external director who has served on the board for several years.

"John, Jeff and Charlie bring exceptional leadership experience that will be invaluable as American Textile Company continues to grow and further establish ourselves as the leading supplier of innovative sleep solutions in the country," said Jack Ouellette, executive chairman of American Textile Company.

Armada Supply Chain Solutions CEO John Burke has extensive knowledge in logistics and strategic planning, which is critical to American Textile Company as it looks to its next phase of growth, while Abarta COO Charles Bitzer lends insight in manufacturing and operations as the company has grown to 750,000 square-feet of facility space in the last decade. Board member Jeff Brown, Chief Marketing Officer of Polyconcept North America, brings his expertise in strategic marketing and consumer products.

"At American Textile Company, we have structured our board to blend strategic skills in a range of disciplines.  They regularly advise our executive leadership on long-term, strategic opportunities and challenges. This has played a crucial role in our success over the years, and with our continued growth, the addition of John and Charlie alongside Jeff creates a team of experts who help us see new opportunities well into the future," commented Executive Vice President Blake Ruttenberg.

American Textile Company was founded in 1925 by Charles Ruttenberg, the grandfather of President and Chief Operations Officer Lance Ruttenberg, and Executive Vice President Blake Ruttenberg. In the decades that followed, the company grew to become one of the leading makers of allergen barrier bedding and other bedding designed to improve the quality of sleep. The two brothers today lead the family-owned firm.

"Under the leadership of our board of directors and our commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry, American Textile Company continues to grow while maintaining the culture and core values under which we were founded 88 years ago," said Lance Ruttenberg.
