Seoul Fashion Week to feature 50 Spring/Summer 2014 shows

More than 50 catwalk shows, featuring fresh Spring/Summer 2014 designs, will be staged at the forthcoming largest South Korean mainstream fashion event, Seoul Fashion Week, slated to take place from October 18 to 23, 2013.

The country’s eminent designer labels like Lie Sang Bong, Shin Jang Kyoung and Gee Chun-hee will present their latest collections under the international event’s Seoul Collection programme, which was originally initiated in the year 2000 to highlight the works of top designers.

In addition to the well-known designers’ catwalks, the event will also feature innovative creations from around 12 up-and-coming fashion talents under the festival calendar’s Asia Generation Next show, which focuses mainly on local independent brands of over one year to less than five years.

Additionally, labels like Kim Sunho, Han, So Yoon, Kim, Hong Bum, Kelley Milkyoung Kim, Kang Na-young, Lee, Ji Youn, Lee Doii and Ku Won Jung will also present their creations at the prestigious soiree.

Other than the style-studded runways, the event schedule will include the Seoul Fashion Fair which will exhibit designs from several fashion companies for the visiting domestic and overseas buyers.

Held twice a year since 1997, the Seoul Metropolitan Government organized event, presents both spring-summer and fall-winter designs, every year in March and October.
