Old Victorian era played inspiration behind Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch’s latest winter-2014 collection displayed on the third day of Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

Made from wool, cotton voile, knitted cashmere and leather, the wearable 35-piece range included mesh shirts, cardigans and embroidered lace dresses in tones of black, gray, off-white, camel, beige and magenta.

Emerging label Vitorino Fields took inspiration from the works of American photographer Irving Penn and nature for its latest collection. With a balanced mixture of classic and modern looks, as well as feminine and masculine styles, the black, cherry, off-white and gray coloured line featured crisp shirts, pants and coats with zipper detailing.

Acquastudio’s designer Esther Bauman presented a 1940s-inspired collection at the event. Mixed with a hint of sensuality, the tulle, wool and sheer fabric made apparels were decorated with embroidery, glass beads and vivid textures. Based on a palette of pale pink, gray, red and black, the collection showcased dresses, peplum blouses, pencil skirts and fitted pants.

The third day of the ongoing Brazilian fashion fest SPFW also featured creations from names like Juliana Jabour and Fernanda Yamamoto.
