Five core principles are central to the Cotton LEADS program:

1) Commitment to the social, environmental, economic and regulatory factors required to produce world-class cotton.

2) Recognition that sustainable and responsible cotton production requires continual improvement, investment, research and sharing of best practices information among growers and industry.

3) Understanding that leading change in responsible and sustainable cotton practices will have the most positive impact when implemented in collaboration among farm, regional, national and international programs.

4) Belief in the benefit of working cooperatively with similar programs that seek to advance responsible and sustainable cotton production in an effort to keep global cotton competitive in world fiber markets.

5) Confidence in cotton identification systems that ensure traceability from farm to manufacturer.

Responsible, transparent fiber sourcing is an integral part of the COTTON USA marketing and licensing program, which operates globally and offers a wide range of services.

At the COTTON USA booth, CCI, Cotton Incorporated and Supima will provide a broad range of information about the cotton market and global cotton sourcing, as well as about the marketing and promotional services offered by the U.S. cotton industry.

Key services offered by the U.S. cotton industry include: the international COTTON USA and Supima licensing programs, trend forecasts and technical support from Cotton Incorporated, and CCI's Supply Chain Program, which supports buyers in sourcing new COTTON USA products across all product groups, from raw material to the end product.

Licensees also benefit from the valuable insight they obtain into consumers, based on the findings of international surveys made available to all global partners.

CCI will present product samples from the new collections of international COTTON USA licensees such as Bassetti (Italy), Caliphil (Taiwan), Camillatex (Italy), Cannon (Thailand), Casale Home (Mexico), Graser Exklusive Bettwäsche (Germany), Kaltex Home (Mexico), Kimpeks (Turkey), Linen House (Thailand), L.S. Mills (India), Magasin (Sweden), Nishikawa Sangyo (Japan), Jaspal & Sons/Santas (Thailand), Shanghai Imagine Furnishings (China), Zermatex (Mexico), Zucchi Group (Italy).
